Who are we?

To ensure that the National Forward Works Viewer is a neutral platform to benefit the whole of New Zealand, it is supported by a variety of different organisations, as demonstrated by the image below.

​The current lead agency for the NFWV is Christchurch City Council, supported by a National Advisory Group made up of representatives from our anchor subscribers along with Te Waihanga InfraCom and Waka Kotahi NZTA.  The responsibility of the lead agency and advisory group is governance and oversight of the NFWV.

Open Plan are the programme lead for the NFWV.  They engage with current and existing stakeholders, onboard organisations, and liaise with the technical services team to ensure that the NFWV is fully functional. 

Jacobs provide the technical services helpdesk for the NFWV, as well as doing magic with data.  They're the first port of call if there's any issues with the system and will troubleshoot and fix system errors.  They also build the processes to bulk upload your data, and do the functional stuff like creating new users and password resets.

Abley take care of all the maps and code that make the viewer work. They do some amazing stuff behind the scenes (or in the cloud) to keep the system up and running and always available. They also create the data links for the contextual data that comes from other organisations.
