Who are we?

The National Forward Works Viewer is owned by the Digital Built Aotearoa Foundation, a purpose-built foundation who's purpose is to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing from lessons learned in recovery infrastructure projects to enable and improve infrastructure resilience throughout Aotearoa.

The NFWV was previously owned by Christchurch City Council, but was moved into the ownership of the Digital Built Aotearoa Foundation in 2023 to support the continued growth and goals of the programme.  The platform is supported by a National Advisory Group made up of representatives from our anchor subscribers along with Te Waihanga InfraCom and Waka Kotahi NZTA.

Open Plan are the programme lead for the NFWV.  With a historical association going back to the inception of the tool, they engage with current and existing stakeholders, onboard organisations, and liaise with the technical services team to ensure that the NFWV is fully functional.

The NFWV is also supported by Catalyst IT who built and maintain the system after its upgrade in 22/23, Jacobs who build the processes to bulk upload the data, and Abley who provide advice and support.
